Elektron Ongoing
From our vast interest in music and time spent with DJ’s and producers worldwide, we became aware of the level of quality of Elektron, a brand of music machines hailing not only out of Gothenburg, but from the same building that have housed our own office for over a decade. In 2024 we agreed it was time to collaborate with Elektron to create a state-of-the-art online experience. The project started from a technical perspective, as the current website did not meet the company’s standards. We will continue to collaborate with Elektron to elevate the brand’s digital design.
Oatly 2012 — 2023
As a design-driven and oriented development team we have partnered with many design studios and advertising agencies across the globe. In 2012, the highly renowned Swedish advertising agency Forsman & Bodenfors asked us to become their creative digital partner in the transformation of, then more or less unknown, oat milk producer Oatly. While the project eventually shifted to Oatly’s in-house agency, we remained their digital partner for over 10 years, building everything from their global brand site to campaign sites and digital experiences at Sweden’s largest music festival Way Out West. Over the years, Oatly grew from being a niche product in the Nordic countries to a global player in the non-diary market. In 2021, Oatly was introduced on Nasdaq at a value of $10 billion.
RinseFM 2012 — 2022
Although based in Sweden, our studio has maintained a close relationship with the graphic design community in London, primarily due to our shared interest in music originating from the United Kingdom. As enthusiasts of London’s urban underground music scene, we were deeply honored when the design studio GiveUpArt invited us to collaborate on the development of a new online platform for RinseFM, a highly influential radio station that transitioned from pirate radio to legal status. The resulting website successfully supported the station for over a decade. A key component of the project was the development of custom scheduling software, which included a feature designed to override regular programming, referred to as "hijackers," as a tribute to the station's pirate radio origins.
SAS Eurobonus 2011
In 2011, touch screen technology was only beginning to gain widespread adoption among the general public, with the introduction of devices such as the iPad in 2010. However, in public spaces such as museums, computers equipped with touch screens were already being used, primarily for interactive experiences like playing small games or visualizing data. Many of these interactive applications were developed using the Flash software, which functioned as a video within a browser, allowing for animation between key frames. American Express and SAS sought to highlight the various products and services that could be purchased using EuroBonus Points, earned through travel with SAS. For this purpose, we developed an interactive Flash-based application, which was deployed on touch screens in airports throughout the Nordic region.
Apple 2011
With the introduction of smartphones and most specifically Apple’s iPhone, we soon realized that websites we developed needed to be both responsive and built with web standards. Exploring the boundaries between design and development lead us to quickly adapt the new possibilities with CSS and JavaScript, allowing us to create interactive experiences in browsers, regardless of device. Our work on a browser-based animation for a digital invitation attracted the attention from Apple, who subsequently invited us to develop a similar digital experience for their Apple Education Leadership Summit in London in 2011.
University of Borås 2010
Before the adaptation of social media, information about places of interest or public events was widespread across many different websites. In 2010, we were asked to enable the students at the University of Borås to more easily find news, events and other information about the city on one website. The brief also concluded the website must not demand a lot of work from an editor. Using current techniques like RSS-feeds, we created a hub for the students to access the latest news from the local newspaper, the current films from the largest cinema in town, the current weather and many other pieces of information that showcased the vibrant student city. The data was presented in a dashboard-like design with options for filtering based on interests personalizing the experience.
Epic Records 2009
In 2009, we designed and developed a website for the local film studio Filmhouse. The site featured a full-screen video background that played continuously as users navigated through the content. At the time, the use of JavaScript to dynamically replace content in the Document Object Model (DOM) was in its early stages, which contributed to the site gaining significant attention from various studios and companies. One such company was Epic Records, a subsidiary of Sony Music based in New York City, which was seeking a development partner for the launch of Danish artist Oh Land's self-titled debut album. The resulting website incorporated both a continuous video background and a custom audio player to enhance the user experience.
